Description
I've started experimenting with encaustics, the painting with hot wax. You heat pans of colored wax and pour and brush the colors. Keeping the wax hot with a heat gun, you never know what the final result will be as details come and go. I like this piece because the wings are blurred as if from motion yet the details of the body are well defined.
